Havertys is seeking a Retail Furniture Sales Consultant to help customers select furniture by understanding their needs and helping them create a warm, inviting home. The consultant delivers service from initial contact through delivery and beyond, builds customer relationships, recommends products and services, and supports customer satisfaction and store success by meeting established sales goals. The role involves working independently and collaboratively with an Interior Design Consultant through Havertys’ complementary Design program. The position offers paid training, an uncapped commission structure with a guaranteed income feature, and potential annual earnings of $55,000 to $100,000 or more. Havertys reports that Sales Consultants earned an average of $87,000 nationally in 2025. The role uses company-provided tablets and proprietary technology, including Havertys’ customer relationship management system, for client communications and follow-up. The work takes place in beautifully appointed showrooms in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment with a business-professional dress code. Retail hours include nights and weekends; store hours are 10 a.m.–7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12 p.m.–6 p.m. Sunday. The position has physical demands that include frequent standing, walking, sitting, handling objects, reaching, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Employees must occasionally lift or move more than 20 pounds, and varying color recognition is required. Reasonable accommodation may be considered to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
