About The Position

We are looking for a Denver South Sales Consultant to implement sales strategies for approved Cardiorenal products and drive launch activities for an anticipated menopause product. This role involves driving demand, clinical education, and sales by developing and implementing a strategic business plan for Primary Care Physicians, primarily in community settings. The Sales Consultant will report to the CVR Area General Manager (AGM) and collaborate closely with Marketing, Market Access, Patient Services, and other internal partners to achieve US Pharma outcomes. The role requires building professional relationships with healthcare professionals and staff, driving appropriate utilization of approved products, and leveraging expertise in the diabetes and menopause marketplace. The incumbent will provide input to sales leadership and regional account managers, develop and implement customer-specific business plans, and prioritize efforts for optimal physician coverage. Understanding customer needs while adhering to Bayer's ethics and compliance standards is crucial. The role involves handling customer objections effectively and exceeding expectations.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of consistent high performance in a sales role or other relevant experience.
  • Proven track record in developing long-standing relationships with customers.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and foster an environment that promotes ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Valid driver license and clean driving record required.
  • Overnight travel could be 2 nights per month.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor degree required, advanced degree a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
  • In-depth knowledge in the cardiovascular and/or diabetes and/or menopause disease states.
  • Product launch experience.
  • Strong analytical and computer capabilities.
  • Virtual Sales Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Implement sales strategies for approved Cardiorenal products.
  • Drive launch activities for an anticipated menopause product.
  • Drive demand, clinical education, and sales by developing, coordinating, and implementing a strategic business plan for Primary Care Physicians.
  • Build and develop professional relationships with primary care physicians, pharmacy staff, and other assigned customers.
  • Drive appropriate utilization of approved cardiovascular and menopause products.
  • Work closely with the Customer Squad to generate pull-through within local payers and community HCPs.
  • Leverage expertise and knowledge of the diabetes and menopause marketplace, applicable competitors, industry, and cross-functional activities/plans to anticipate and effectively manage business opportunities and challenges.
  • Provide relevant, thoughtful input to other commercial colleagues (e.g., sales leadership, regional account managers) regarding strategic and tactical planning for territory, area, and region.
  • Develop and implement effective customer-specific business plans.
  • Communicate insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Prioritize time and effort to ensure optimal coverage of appropriate physician specialists based on opportunity and potential.
  • Understand fully the assigned customers' product and business needs and work to meet those needs while adhering to all Bayer company ethics and compliance standards.
  • Anticipate potential barriers to achievement of goals and propose responsible solutions for success.
  • Handle customer objections effectively and exceed customer expectations with the value they bring to physicians.
