Sales Consultant In Training- Mankato
About The Position
Johnson Brothers, a leading family-owned distributor of wine, spirits, and beer, is seeking a Sales Consultant in Training in the Mankato and surrounding areas. This role supports, services, and maintains accounts by stocking shelves, coolers, and building displays. The position involves following up on deliveries, servicing shelves from storage, and potentially achieving sales objectives, managing territories, selling products, executing promotions, conducting in-store tastings, and servicing accounts. This is a training position for individuals who will eventually manage their own sales territory.
Requirements
- Work experience in the liquor industry, such as: bartender, wait staff, liquor store experience, etc. a plus.
- Goal and results oriented.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and prioritize work.
- Competitive, self-motivated and customer service orientated.
- Professional written and oral communication skills a must.
- Have reliable transportation with valid insurance.
- Good driving record.
- Ability to lift to 50-pound cases, sometimes repeatedly.
- Local candidates preferred (no relocation package)
Responsibilities
- Travels around assigned territory to service accounts
- Check quantities of goods on display, cold box placements, in stock and service the accounts
- Fills shelves from displays and back stock to ensure out of stock items are minimized.
- Develops and maintains relationships with customers.
- Communicates with Sales Representatives regarding changes in buyer’s preferences, out of stock inventory, oversight in shelf space and any concerns/situations encountered during business hours.
- Build and develop trust and a strong working relationship of the retailer by upholding Johnson Brothers corporate values, have excellent customer service and a “can-do” attitude.
- Perform other work-related tasks and special projects as assigned.
- Stocking shelves, coolers and building displays.
- Follow up after the deliveries are made by our drivers and service shelves from the liquor department storage areas.
- Achieving sales objectives, territory management, selling current and new products, promotions, in-store tastings, and servicing accounts.
