About The Position

Johnson Brothers, a leading family-owned distributor of wine, spirits, and beer, is seeking a Sales Consultant in Training for its On Premise division in the Twin Cities area. This role is designed to train new personnel who will eventually manage their own sales territory. The company has been delivering exceptional service since 1953 and represents top beverage brands, focusing on excellence, innovation, and growth. The Sales Consultant in Training will support, service, and maintain accounts, potentially achieving sales objectives, managing a territory, selling products, executing promotions, conducting in-store tastings, and servicing accounts.

Requirements

Work experience in the liquor industry, such as: bartender, wait staff, liquor store experience, etc. a plus.
Goal and results oriented.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and prioritize work.
Competitive, self-motivated and customer service orientated.
Professional written and oral communication skills a must.
Have reliable transportation with valid insurance.
Good driving record.
Ability to lift to 50-pound cases, sometimes repeatedly.

Responsibilities

Travels around assigned territory to service accounts
Develops and maintains relationships with customers.
Build and develop trust and a strong working relationship of the retailer by upholding Johnson Brothers corporate values, have excellent customer service and a “can-do” attitude.
Perform other work-related tasks and special projects as assigned.
Proper management of an established sales territory including selling, servicing, merchandising, administration and accounts receivable.
Achieving sales objectives, territory management, selling current and new products, promotions, in-store tastings, and servicing accounts.
