The Sales Compensation Administrator owns the tracking and subsequent payment of all variable OEM compensation plans. This includes the technical sales plans in the Americas and APAC, BDR plans, Sales Manager plans, Sales Director plans, Distribution plans, and Inside Sales plans. This role owns territory alignment and ensures that sales are accurately attributed to the correct rep. The administrator also supports resolving data issues affecting sales compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Create compensation plan records for sales team tracking at the beginning of each year
  • Coordinate with sales managers to calculate and upload baseline and budget numbers
  • Manage the process that splits sales credit between sales reps
  • Validate commission calculations
  • Manage the territory change process
  • Update the territory master logic as business needs change
  • Research and rectify data issues affecting sales compensation, including, but not limited to, margin issues
  • Make suggestions for process changes that will improve data integrity
  • Support finance team with data for commission accrual calculations
  • Implement territory boundary changes as needed
  • Document compensation plan details and compensation plan execution methodology
  • Proactively provide updates on compensation execution milestones, priorities, and expectations to the sales team
  • Support the sales team with questions regarding their compensation
  • Manage the sales team map through Salesforce Territory Planning
  • Own compensation-related reports
  • Other related duties as assigned
