Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in industrial distribution, warehousing, or equivalent.
  • Strong sales aptitude and ability to manage a team of sales representatives.
  • Knowledge of industrial product lines (e.g., gunnite, concrete, pool and spa equipment, chemicals, construction materials, plumbing supplies, electrical supplies, HVAC supplies, auto parts, or similar industrial tangible goods).
  • A minimum of 2 years of management experience with full profit and loss responsibility for a $5-10 Million operation.
  • Experience hiring, training, and managing a staff of 10 or more employees.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office software.
  • Familiarity with inventory control software and customer management sales systems.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to apply.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background verifications.
  • Ability to perform tasks in a safety-sensitive role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a business operation to increase sales, profitability, market share, and customer and employee satisfaction.
  • Direct, coordinate, and monitor all sales, branch operations, and personnel development activities.
  • Assess local market conditions, identify sales opportunities, and develop forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans.
  • Manage full financial responsibilities including budget, P&L, and sales center expenses.
  • Oversee sales management for inside and outside sales, multi-channel marketing, price matrixing, sales promotions, and vendor coordination.
  • Hire, train, direct, and manage all sales center personnel (sales, customer service, accounts receivable, warehouse operations).
  • Manage accounts receivable, including credit, collections, and cash management.
  • Oversee operations, ensuring compliance with corporate procedures, safety regulations, and governmental regulations.
  • Determine stock items and inventory targets in coordination with Operations managers and buyers.
  • Manage non-performing inventory.
  • Provide facilities management.
  • Provide entrepreneurial leadership for business growth through new product development, customer and market development, complementary product marketing, and strategic planning.
