About The Position

Scheels is seeking a Part-Time Sales Associate for their Men's Clothing department. This role is crucial in delivering a personalized customer experience and contributing to the team's success. As an employee-owner, you will be expected to embody Scheels' values of delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining a team-first mentality, adapting to change, taking pride in your work, and upholding honesty and integrity. The position involves actively engaging with customers, understanding their needs, recommending products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card. You will also be responsible for maintaining visual merchandising standards, processing freight, restocking inventory, and demonstrating product usage. The role requires the ability to use a personal computer and a handheld inventory scanner, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Email/Docs, and AS400. Training new associates and assisting with other assigned duties by the leadership team are also part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
1-3 months of sales experience
Ability to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Ability to navigate a personal computer and a handheld inventory computer/scanner. Programs include: Microsoft Office, Google Email / Docs, and AS400

Responsibilities

Greet all customers on the sales floor with genuine courtesy and a smile, to ensure they feel welcomed the moment they enter your shop
Deliver exceptional customer service by seeking out and engaging with customers, going through the steps of the sale to determine their needs, recommending appropriate products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card
Grow personal sales by consistently hitting set goals and following Scheels' professional salesmanship standards and the steps of the sale to provide an above-and-beyond customer experience
Create a positive end-user experience based on the products the customer is purchasing
Maintain a high standard of visual merchandising and support the team with freight processing and inventory restocking
Ability to demonstrate product usage within their shop and retrieve product from heights of greater than 6 ft
Attend all required Scheels product training and all store meetings
Assist in the training of new associates in the areas of the store's expertise
Ability to navigate a personal computer and a handheld inventory computer/scanner. Programs include: Microsoft Office, Google Email / Docs, and AS400
Assist in all other assigned duties by the leadership team
