About The Position

Express is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to provide customers with a great in-store shopping experience and assist with tasks such as stocking, cleaning, and folding merchandise. The role includes maintaining a safe, clean, and inviting store; following company policies and procedures; supporting product launch changes; processing transactions accurately; resolving customer service issues; and promoting credit and loyalty programs. Other essential functions may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of relevant job experience, with a minimum of 6 months.
• Proficiency with technology such as iPads and registers.
• Availability that meets defined criteria, including nights, weekends, and non-business hours.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role.
• Customer service skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including communication with customers, the sales leadership team, and associates.
• Demonstrated collaboration skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States; the company does not sponsor work visas for this position.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, checkout, fitting room, and stock room to ensure the store is safe and inviting to customers.
• Follow company policies and procedures to ensure the safety of associates and customers.
• Assist with product launch changes according to company standard operating procedures.
• Deliver all aspects of the customer experience model.
• Process transactions quickly and accurately to reduce customer wait time.
• Resolve customer service-related issues or escalate them as appropriate, and communicate issues and resolutions to Store Management.
• Explain the benefits of credit and loyalty member programs and encourage customer participation.
• Assist with stocking, cleaning, and folding merchandise.
