Part-Time Sales Associate - Famous Footwear
About The Position
As a Famous Footwear Sales Associate, you provide a welcoming store environment and an engaging customer experience. You help customers find shoes that suit their needs, share knowledge about brands and trends, and contribute to customer loyalty. You work collaboratively with the store team and support a culture of inclusion, respect, and positive customer connection. The role also supports daily retail operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory. You help keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop, follow company policies and procedures, contribute to sales goals, communicate effectively with teammates, and assist with training and development when needed. Other responsibilities may be assigned to meet business needs, and overtime may be required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
- Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager as needed.
- Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
- Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
- Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, engaging customer service and help customers find suitable styles and sizes.
- Share knowledge of shoe brands and trends and make product recommendations.
- Complete daily store tasks, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and products easy to shop.
- Review store performance and contribute to sales goals.
- Communicate clearly with the store team and listen actively to teammates.
- Follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and develop job skills.
- Support an inclusive and respectful workplace and assist with teammate training and development when needed.
