About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Sales Associate, you provide an engaging, welcoming shoe-store experience and help customers find styles and brands that meet their needs. You stay informed about trends, make thoughtful recommendations, and contribute to customer loyalty and a positive in-store culture.

You support daily store operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory, while keeping the store clean, organized, and easy to shop. You work toward store sales goals, communicate clearly with teammates, follow company policies, seek feedback, and help create an inclusive and supportive environment. You may assist with teammate training and development as needed.

This is a part-time position. Other responsibilities may be assigned to meet business needs, and overtime may be required. The role may involve working holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours to meet business needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

• Provide attentive customer engagement and help customers find suitable shoes, styles, and brands.
• Stay informed about trends and share relevant knowledge with customers.
• Complete daily store tasks, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and products easy to shop.
• Review store performance and work with purpose toward sales goals.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and listen actively to teammates.
• Follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and develop job skills.
• Contribute to an inclusive, positive, and respectful work environment.
• Support teammates and assist with training and development when needed.
