As a part-time Seasonal Sales Associate, you will be at the heart of Five Below's energy, driving strong sales and delivering outstanding customer service. This role is temporary, covering the busy holiday season from October through January.

Requirements

At least 16 years old
Available to work a flexible schedule
Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (such as computers, cash registers, hand-held and mobile devices)
Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers
Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues/concerns courteously and professionally
Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers promptly, providing assistance and handling multiple customers efficiently.
Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing them to merchandise, and offering recommendations.
Engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability.
Promote store events and promotions to enhance the shopping experience and drive sales.
Resolve customer concerns and use product knowledge to offer alternative solutions, aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
Communicate needs to management regarding merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback in a timely manner.
Support team and company goals by collaborating to achieve overall store and company objectives, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
Operate cash register, computer, hand-held, phone, walkie, and mobile devices.
Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet.
Ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
Kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in the stock room and on the sales floor.
Communicate and exchange information with customers face-to-face and on the telephone, as well as with managers and coworkers.
Move across the sales floor assisting customers, and to and from the stock room retrieving and putting away merchandise.
Identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
Remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
