About The Position

Ace Retail Group (ARG), a division of Ace Hardware Corporation, owns and operates multiple Ace brands and is one of the largest hardware retailers in the United States. The Sales Associate will be responsible for assisting with merchandise receiving, stocking, pricing, and maintaining a clean and orderly store presentation.

Requirements

High School or GED equivalent.
Formal retail experience preferred.
Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 25lbs), and climb.
Ability to exhibit and incorporate Core Values into daily decisions and interactions.

Responsibilities

Provide a positive representation of Ace Retail Group and proactively assist customers in solving problems.
Greet customers entering and throughout the store, thank them upon leaving, and maintain a friendly, outgoing demeanor.
Answer all pages and calls promptly, courteously, and effectively.
Forward customer complaints that cannot be handled to management.
Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and product locations.
Assist customers throughout the store with personalized service.
Assist in creating a positive, professional, and safe work environment.
Assist with receiving, checking in, and stocking of merchandise.
Assist with maintaining back stock levels.
Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room, and outdoor merchandise area.
Provide a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and ad merchandise.
Assist with merchandise resets throughout the store.
Provide assistance to Department Specialists with tasks like price changes and special orders.
Ensure signage is current throughout the store.
Operate a forklift with proper training.
Communicate any Store Support Center issues to the General Manager for follow-up.
Communicate any merchandising, cost control, or sales ideas to the General Manager.
Participate in store meetings.
Be professional in appearance and actions.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
