Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Possess a willingness to learn.
• Experience establishing relationships and working with customers.
• Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.

Nice To Haves

• Will train high school students.
• Trade skills accompanied by a personality that will support Core Values and mission is a plus, but will train.
• Knowledge of retail computer systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales by consistently providing world-class customer service.
• Support the mission of being 'the most helpful hardware stores on the planet'.
• Put 'Customers First, Tasks Second'.
• Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements and provide this information to customers.
• Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
• Continually work on increasing knowledge of the products sold and their uses.
• Utilize merchandising skills and abilities.
• Recognize merchandising issues, stock problems, pricing concerns, labeling and signage issues within the area of responsibility and/or the store as a whole, and notify management of these issues.
