About The Position

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board is hiring Part-Time Sales Associates, also called Intermittent Liquor Store Clerks (ILSC), for its Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores. The role provides customer service, supports store sales and operations, and helps create a welcoming shopping experience in a fast-paced retail environment. The position is permanent part-time, based at the store listed in the posting, with possible assignments to other stores within the county or district based on operational needs. Telework is not available. The role requires at least 13 hours per week, with the opportunity to work up to 32 hours per week depending on availability and store needs. Shifts are flexible, typically 4–8 hours, and may include rotating weekday and weekend daytime and evening hours. Employees are eligible for Affordable Care Act/Bronze Plan medical benefits from the first day of employment.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
Must be able to perform the essential job functions, including the physical tasks described.
Must pass a background investigation.
A felony conviction within the last ten years of the prospective employment date disqualifies an applicant from working for the PLCB; other criminal convictions are reviewed case by case.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service and help shoppers find products.
Process sales transactions using a computerized cash register.
Unload shipments, stock shelves, and set up product displays.
Receive, assemble, and pack wholesale customer orders and load them into vehicles.
Safely lift products weighing 30–50 pounds and occasionally up to 60 pounds, including lifting overhead or from the floor while squatting.
Stand for extended periods.
Keep the store clean and organized.
Use scanners, box cutters, dollies, carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
Follow legal guidelines to ensure alcohol is sold only to customers legally permitted to purchase it.
Work collaboratively in a friendly, team-oriented environment.
