About The Position

COBS Bread is growing and looking for a Part-time Sales Associate to join their team. They offer a fun work environment, comprehensive training, and excellent opportunities for career advancement. No experience is needed, as long as candidates have the right attitude and are interested in learning new skills. The role involves working as part of a small team, providing exceptional customer service, merchandising product, executing marketing campaigns, keeping the bakery clean, and assisting with production as needed. The position requires working both Saturdays and Sundays, plus one additional shift per week, totaling 16-24 hours per week. The bakery operates 7 days a week from 6 am to 6 pm, including Sundays and Holidays, and weekend/holiday work is mandatory. The schedule will be based on mutual availability, but weekend and holiday availability is a requirement.

Requirements

• Must be able to work both Saturday and Sundays and one shift a week for a total of 16-24 hours/week
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Strong customer service focus and ability to multitask
• Positive attitude, high energy, ability to smile, and a friendly demeanour
• Reliability and self-motivation, and enjoy learning new skills
• A team player who is approachable, social and enjoys working with people
• Takes pride in providing a great and personable experience for our customers
• Must have their own transportation to and from work
• Continuous standing/ walking for all tasks
• Constant use of both hands, and frequent forceful gripping
• Continually operating the Point Of Sale cash register tablet system
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 10 kg, reaching below shoulder level, bending and turning
• Occasional lifting and carrying up to 22 kg, pushing, pulling, crouching, bending and reaching above shoulder level

Nice To Haves

• Experience in handling cash, credit card and debit transactions are preferred
• Relevant retail experience is a strong asset

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a small team, providing exceptional customer service, and getting to know your regular customers
• Be responsible for merchandising product and executing marketing campaigns
• Keep the bakery clean, and assist with production as needed
