About The Position

Express is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to provide customers with a great in-store shopping experience. The role also assists with tasks such as stocking, cleaning, and folding merchandise. The Sales Associate maintains clean, organized, safe, and inviting store areas; follows company safety policies and procedures; and assists with product launch changes according to company standard operating procedures.

The position delivers the customer experience, processes transactions quickly and accurately, resolves customer service issues or escalates them to Store Management, and promotes credit and loyalty programs by explaining their benefits. Other essential functions may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of relevant job experience, with a minimum of 6 months.
• Proficiency using technology, including iPads and registers.
• Availability for nights, weekends, and non-business hours.
• Ability to meet the position's physical requirements.
• Customer service skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially with customers, sales leadership, and associates.
• Collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, checkout, fitting room, and stock room to keep the store safe and inviting.
• Follow company policies and procedures to ensure the safety of associates and customers.
• Assist with product launch changes according to company SOP.
• Deliver all aspects of the customer experience model.
• Process transactions quickly and accurately to reduce customer wait time.
• Resolve customer service issues positively, determine a resolution or escalate as appropriate, and communicate issues and resolutions to Store Management.
• Promote credit and loyalty member programs by explaining benefits and encouraging customer participation.
• Assist with stocking, cleaning, folding merchandise, and other tasks as directed by a supervisor.
