About The Position

The Sales Associate serves as a point of contact for customers and helps them locate and purchase merchandise. The role includes operating the cash register, stocking and recovering merchandise, cleaning the store, and completing other duties assigned by the Store Manager or Manager on Duty to support store profitability, customer satisfaction, and protection of Company assets.

The position involves frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, merchandise handling, and lifting. Work takes place in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise and may include occasional exposure to outdoor weather, cleaning solutions, slippery floors, and extreme cold in freezers. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Requirements

• Proficient interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash-handling procedures and ability to perform cash-register functions.
• Ability to stock merchandise.
• Willingness to comply with Company policies and procedures outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures manual, Employee Handbook, and Company communications.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers, providing excellent customer service.
• Operate the cash register and scanner; total purchases, collect payments, make change, bag merchandise, and assist customers with merchandise as needed.
• Unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise according to Company processes, and build merchandise displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop floors, clean the restroom and receiving room, and help set up sidewalk displays.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Store Manager or Manager on Duty to support store profitability, customer satisfaction, and protection of Company assets.
