About The Position
The Sales Associate serves as a point of contact for customers, helping them locate and purchase merchandise. The role includes operating the cash register, stocking and recovering merchandise, cleaning the store, and performing other duties assigned by the Store Manager or Manager on Duty to support store profitability, customer satisfaction, and protection of Company assets. The position involves frequent walking and standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, handling merchandise and equipment, and lifting up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 55 pounds occasionally. Associates may occasionally climb a step ladder to heights of six feet and may encounter outside weather, hazardous cleaning solutions, slippery floors, and extreme cold in freezers. The environment is fast-paced with moderate noise.
Requirements
- Proficient interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Understanding of safety policies and practices.
- Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures.
- Ability to perform cash register functions.
- Ability to stock merchandise.
- Knowledge of and willingness to comply with Company policies and procedures outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures manual, Employee Handbook, and Company communications.
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers.
- Operate the cash register and scanner; itemize purchases, collect payment, make change, bag merchandise, and assist customers with merchandise as needed.
- Follow Company merchandise processes, including unpacking, stocking, restocking, and rotating merchandise, and building displays.
- Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop floors, clean the restroom and receiving room, and help set up sidewalk displays.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or Manager on Duty.
