About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Sales Associate, you provide a welcoming store environment and a strong customer experience. You help customers find shoes that suit their needs, share knowledge of styles and brands, and contribute to customer loyalty and the Famous Footwear culture.

You support daily retail operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory, while keeping the store clean, organized, and easy to shop. You work toward store sales goals, communicate effectively with teammates, follow company policies, and contribute to an inclusive, supportive team. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed to meet business needs, and overtime may be required.

This part-time role involves regular activity on the sales floor, including walking, standing, lifting, and other physical tasks. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily store tasks, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and merchandise easy to shop.
• Provide attentive customer service and help customers find suitable styles and brands.
• Stay informed about trends and share product knowledge with customers.
• Review store performance and work to achieve sales goals.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and listen actively to teammates.
• Follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and develop professionally.
• Promote an inclusive and respectful work environment and support teammates, including assisting with training and development when needed.
• Meet additional business needs as required; overtime may be required.
