About The Position

Lovesac is seeking a part-time Sales Associate for its Cottonwood Creek Market location in Waco, Texas. The role focuses on connecting with customers, selling adaptable furniture, and helping customers find products suited to their lifestyles and spaces. Associates deliver an engaging, customer-first experience, build lasting relationships, and represent the Lovesac brand with integrity. The Sales Associate supports store operations, including opening and closing, inventory, visual standards, and promotions. The role also involves using store systems and data to prioritize work, maintaining safety and brand standards, and contributing to an inclusive, positive team environment. Associates may take on additional priorities and special projects as needed. The position pays $15.00–$16.75 per hour. It requires working peak selling periods, including weekends, holidays, and nights, and may require travel to local stores, third-party vendors, or occasional meetings. Physical duties include standing and walking for up to eight hours per shift, moving furniture weighing up to 75 pounds, assembling furniture, and regularly bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, stooping, crawling, and climbing.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
At least 1 year of experience in retail or customer service.
Must regularly work during high-traffic and peak selling periods, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
Ability to use technology for sales and customer support, demonstrate products, assist customers, and use internal CRM systems.
Ability to travel as required to local stores, third-party vendors, and occasional meetings using various forms of transportation.
Excellent judgment, integrity, and trustworthiness when handling financial transactions, sensitive business and customer data, customer privacy, and the comfort and safety of people and property.
Effective communication skills and ability to manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift.
Ability to move objects, including medium to large furniture items weighing up to 75 pounds, and assemble furniture on the selling floor.
Ability to regularly bend, twist, kneel, reach, stoop, crawl, and climb.

Responsibilities

Greet customers, actively sell using the Lovesac selling process, maintain a personal quote pipeline, and follow up to drive conversion.
Build customer connections that encourage loyalty, repeat business, and brand advocacy.
Manage the customer journey from discovering needs through service and relationship-building.
Demonstrate product knowledge, provide engaging brand tours and product education, and close sales.
Meet and exceed sales goals and KPIs through disciplined execution and sound decision-making.
Contribute to an inclusive, respectful environment for customers and teammates, and remain open to feedback and learning.
Build relationships through everyday interactions that strengthen brand awareness.
Support daily store operations, including opening and closing, inventory, visual standards, and promotions.
Use store systems and data to prioritize work and support efficient, customer-focused execution.
Uphold brand standards, safety practices, and company policies while helping protect the business.
Take on additional priorities and special projects as needed.
