About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales and builds customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are the position’s primary areas of focus. The associate also supports shipments, restocking, pricing, visual standards, loss prevention, and keeping the store organized and orderly.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
• Problem-solving and analytical abilities, attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Meet customer needs by recommending appropriate merchandise, demonstrating basic fashion and trend knowledge, and building customer relationships while maintaining DTLR standards.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Provide each customer with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression and maintain an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
• Comply with company policies and participate in service training and product programs.
• Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and ensure adequate size runs are represented according to visual directions.
• Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
• Maintain a neat and orderly sales environment and help keep the store organized as directed by store management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
