About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales and customer relationships through excellent customer service and selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. The associate helps customers select appropriate merchandise, supports shipments and restocking, follows visual standards, and helps keep the store organized and orderly. This position requires standing for extended periods, handling loads up to 50 pounds, and working in a fast-paced environment. Reliable transportation is required.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and an interest in working with customers in a retail setting.
Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and to work flexibly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Use fashion and trend knowledge to meet customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise, following DTLR standards, and building customer relationships.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Provide each customer with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression, while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Help keep the store organized as directed by store management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
