About The Position
General Floor is hiring a Counter Sales Associate for its showrooms in Kenilworth, Hackensack, or Edison, New Jersey. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service, building customer relationships, promoting products and services, and supporting branch sales growth. The associate serves customers in person and over the phone and may assist with warehouse operations as needed. The advertised pay range is $20–$24 per hour, plus bonus eligibility. The posting also lists a separate compensation range of $60,000–$80,000 per year plus bonus for manager candidates. Final compensation depends on qualifications, internal equity, and market factors.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service.
- Showcase and promote General Floor products and services.
- Provide accurate product information, pricing, and availability.
- Process orders efficiently and follow up on quotes.
- Assist with warehouse operations as needed, including receiving, picking, and loading.
- Help drive branch sales growth while serving customers in person and over the phone.
