About The Position
A Part-Time Sales Associate drives selling efforts and customer relationships by excelling in customer service and selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising, product sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are the most important aspects of the position. The associate helps customers find appropriate merchandise, supports shipments and daily restocking, follows visual standards, maintains an orderly store, and assists with preventing theft. The position requires working effectively with customers and colleagues in a fast-paced retail environment.
Requirements
- Previous work experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not necessary.
- Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
- Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities, attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and work flexibly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous work experience in retail or customer service preferred.
Responsibilities
- Use fashion and trend knowledge to meet customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise, following DTLR standards, and building relationships.
- Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
- Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to customers and maintain an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
- Comply with all company policies.
- Participate in service training and product programs.
- Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
- Assist in eliminating employee and customer theft.
- Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
- Keep the store organized as directed by store management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
