About The Position

Express is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to provide customers with a great in-store shopping experience. The role also includes stocking, cleaning, folding merchandise, and other store tasks. The associate helps maintain a safe, clean, and inviting store environment; supports product launches; processes transactions; resolves or escalates customer service issues; and promotes credit and loyalty programs. Other essential functions may be assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of relevant job experience, with a minimum of 6 months.
• Proficiency using technology, including iPads and registers.
• Availability that meets defined criteria, including nights, weekends, and non-business hours.
• Ability to meet the position’s physical requirements.
• Customer service skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly with customers, sales leadership, and associates.
• Collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, checkout, fitting room, and stock room.
• Follow company policies and procedures to help ensure the safety of associates and customers.
• Assist with product launch changes according to company standard operating procedures.
• Deliver all aspects of the customer experience model.
• Process transactions quickly and accurately to reduce customer wait times.
• Resolve customer service issues and determine whether to escalate them; communicate issues and resolutions to Store Management.
• Explain credit and loyalty program benefits and encourage customer participation.
• Perform additional essential functions as directed by a supervisor.
