About The Position

J.Jill is seeking a passionate, customer-focused, results-driven part-time Sales Associate to build customer relationships and provide a welcoming, positive shopping experience. The associate offers personalized service and styling advice, helps customers find suitable products, and contributes to store sales goals. The role also supports merchandise presentation, store operations, and a positive team environment. The position requires a flexible schedule that may include weekends, evenings, and holidays, along with the ability to perform the listed physical tasks.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Passion for fashion, styling, and creating a welcoming customer experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic team player with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to perform extensive standing, walking, reaching, bending, pushing and pulling, and maneuvering around the store; hang and fold merchandise; climb ladders; operate POS registers and company mobile devices; occasionally operate a trash compactor where applicable and use a hand truck; lift and carry up to 30 pounds; and participate in joint or team lifting.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful connections with customers through personalized service and styling advice.
• Help customers find products and provide a seamless, enjoyable shopping experience while contributing to sales goals.
• Develop knowledge of J.Jill merchandise to provide guidance and recommendations.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and execute floor sets.
• Participate in store operations, including marketing, product processing and replenishment, markdowns and promotions, store cleanliness, and backroom organization.
• Work with team members to foster a positive and supportive work environment.
• Address customer needs and concerns with a friendly, solution-oriented approach.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support store success.
