About The Position

The Sales Associate supports store operations by providing hospitality to guests, completing transactions promptly, maintaining store cleanliness and Yesway standards, and ensuring merchandise is properly priced, stocked, and presented. The role also includes preparing cooked foods as directed by the Store Manager or Assistant Manager and performing other assigned duties.

The position requires moving merchandise or equipment weighing up to 60 pounds, standing on concrete floors for a standard eight-hour shift, and receiving and stocking merchandise at different heights, which may involve stooping, bending, and stretching. Successful completion of required certification testing is required upon employment. State-specific background checks, certifications, training, or licenses may also apply to applicants in Kansas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

Requirements

• Successfully complete required certification testing upon employment.
• Move merchandise or equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Stand on concrete floors for a standard eight-hour shift.
• Receive and stock merchandise at various heights, using stooping, bending, and stretching motions as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure hospitality for store guests through timely transactions, store and facilities cleanliness, and implementation of Yesway standards.
• Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
• Ensure merchandise is properly placed, priced, and stocked.
• Process sales transactions using appropriate equipment.
• Prepare cooked foods as directed by the Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Maintain shelves, counters, floors, glass, and equipment according to the store maintenance schedule.
• Stock shelves, block shelves, bag ice, and maintain soft drink bags-in-box.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
