About The Position
As a Sales Associate, you will be the face of the icebreaker brand to retail customers, responsible for creating a best-in-class customer experience in the store. You will actively engage with a diverse group of people, utilizing your product, brand, activity, and community knowledge to ensure each customer has a memorable positive experience. This role is part of a team, prioritizing customer engagement while also assisting in the daily visual and operational maintenance of the store. Founded in 1995 in New Zealand, icebreaker is a pioneer of ethical and sustainable natural performance apparel, now part of the VF Corporation. icebreaker is committed to being Plastic Free by 2023 and transitioning all apparel to merino or plant-based fibers, currently 91% complete. Requirements
- Ability to genuinely and comfortably engage with a diverse group of customers
- Customer service experience
- Ability to collaborate, work as a team, and be adaptable in the workplace
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business; will require weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge, experience and/or willingness to learn about the products, activities, community relevant to the store’s customer base
- Attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and software programs
