About The Position

GNC is seeking a part-time hourly Sales Associate to welcome customers, understand their needs and goals, and provide a tailored shopping experience through product advice and recommendations. The role represents GNC’s “Live Well” message and supports a welcoming, inclusive store environment. Sales Associates also help achieve store and individual sales and productivity goals, fulfill online orders, restock products, maintain visual merchandising and store appearance, and support store operations.

The position requires a flexible schedule, including the ability to work varied hours and days, mornings or nights for opening or closing, weekends, and major U.S. holidays when the store is open. Physical duties include standing or walking for up to eight hours, frequent reaching, bending and twisting, lifting and pushing or pulling items, and climbing ladders. The role may involve using a computer for up to 60% of the day and working in temperatures ranging from 50 to 85 degrees, particularly in stock-room areas.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work varied hours and days to meet store needs, including mornings or nights, weekends, and major U.S. holidays when the store is open.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
• Frequent reaching, bending, and twisting below the waist and above the shoulders; repetitive hand-to-finger motions; and reaching with hands and arms.
• Frequently lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds; push or pull up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders, reach, and bend.
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 50 to 85 degrees.
• Ability to use a computer for up to 60% of the day.
• Ability to interact genuinely with customers and recommend products based on product knowledge and understanding of their needs.

• Proactively greet and welcome customers and create a welcoming environment.
• Interact with customers to identify their needs and recommend suitable products using product knowledge.
• Work toward and exceed store and personal sales and productivity goals.
• Fulfill online orders accurately and on time in accordance with company guidelines.
• Learn product features, advantages, and benefits, and stay informed about nutritional, wellness, and fitness news.
• Restock products, maintain visual merchandising, and perform cleaning duties when not assisting customers.
• Support store management with opening, closing, and retail store operations, including cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits.
• Maintain the appearance of the store.
• Represent the GNC brand and promote its “Live Well” message.
