About The Position
The Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role adheres to operational, merchandise, loss prevention, safety, and labor standards, and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; accurately processes customer purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and follows merchandising and merchandise-preparation procedures. The position also includes store recovery, maintaining cleanliness and organization, contributing to shrink reduction and safety programs, and completing other duties as assigned. The position is part-time at the Marshalls store at 9876B Rea Rd, Charlotte, North Carolina. Starting pay is $13.25 to $13.75 per hour, with actual pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Uphold the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
