About The Position

GNC Sales Associates help customers identify their health and wellness needs and goals, then offer personalized product recommendations and a welcoming shopping experience. They represent GNC’s “Live Well” philosophy and brand, and contribute to store goals and an inclusive, high-performing team. This is a part-time hourly position. Sales Associates also restock products, maintain visual merchandising and store appearance, fulfill online orders, perform cleaning duties, and support store management with opening, closing, and store operations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
• Able to frequently reach, bend, and twist below the waist and above the shoulders; perform repetitive hand-to-finger motions; and reach with hands and arms.
• Able to frequently lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds, and push or pull up to 20 pounds.
• Able to climb ladders, reach, and bend.
• Able to work in temperatures ranging from 50 to 85 degrees, particularly in stockroom areas.
• Able to use a computer for up to 60% of the workday.
• Able to work varied hours and days to meet store needs, including morning or night shifts, weekends, and major U.S. holidays when the store is open.
• Able to learn product information and understand customer needs in order to make recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers, creating a welcoming environment for new and returning shoppers.
• Interact with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products using product knowledge.
• Work toward and exceed individual and store sales and productivity goals.
• Fulfill online orders accurately and on time according to company guidelines.
• Learn product features, advantages, and benefits, and stay informed about nutrition, wellness, and fitness news.
• Support store management with opening, closing, and daily retail operations, including cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits.
• Restock products, maintain visual merchandising and store appearance, and perform cleaning duties.
• Promote GNC’s “Live Well” message and represent the brand to customers.
