About The Position

A part-time Sales Associate drives sales efforts and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are the most important aspects of the position. The associate helps customers find appropriate merchandise, supports shipments and restocking, follows visual standards, and helps keep the sales floor organized and orderly. The position requires effective communication, basic fashion and trend knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Reliable transportation is required.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Problem-solving and analytical abilities, attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to support customer service, inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and to work flexibly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Use fashion and trend knowledge to identify appropriate merchandise for customers, provide customer service, and build relationships while maintaining DTLR standards.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to customers and maintain an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
Help eliminate employee and customer theft.
Maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Keep the store organized as directed by store management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
