About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Sales Associate, you provide customers with a welcoming, engaging shoe-shopping experience and help them find styles and brands that suit their needs. You contribute to a positive, inclusive store culture, share knowledge about footwear trends, and support customer loyalty and store performance.

You help keep store operations running smoothly by completing daily tasks such as pricing, processing shipments, fulfillment, and inventory. You maintain a clean, organized store where products are easy to shop, follow company policies and procedures, communicate with teammates, and support their training and development when needed. The role may include other responsibilities as needed to meet business needs, and overtime may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, engaging customer service and recommend shoes that meet customers’ needs.
• Stay informed about trends and share relevant knowledge with customers.
• Complete daily store tasks, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and products easy to shop.
• Support store sales goals by reviewing performance, taking accountability for results, and acting with urgency.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and listen actively to ensure understanding.
• Follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and pursue professional development.
• Promote an inclusive, respectful, and positive work environment and support teammates, including helping with training and development when needed.
