About The Position

IT’SUGAR is seeking a fun and dynamic Retail Sales Associate, referred to as a “SUGARTAINER,” to deliver an entertaining customer experience while promoting the brand. The role helps create a great store experience by providing quality customer service and keeping the store visually up to standard. Associates engage customers using the IT’SUGARTAINMENT model, support store operations and promotions, represent the company’s core values, and help achieve sales goals.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No retail experience is required.
• Optimistic, outgoing, and enthusiastic personality.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability and willingness to use a POS/register and operate office equipment.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• Ability to independently lift or move up to 25 pounds and lift or move up to 50 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Follow the IT’SUGARTAINMENT customer engagement model by setting the stage, welcoming, engaging, entertaining, and thanking customers.
• Assist customers with requests and inquiries.
• Keep the sales floor clean and organized and maintain store visual standards.
• Operate the POS/register and cash out customers.
• Merchandise displays according to visual guidelines.
• Assist with setting up special events and promotions.
• Understand Loss Prevention policies and procedures and communicate related issues to the Store Manager.
• Maintain salesfloor, backroom, and restroom areas, including cleaning and mopping.
• Represent the core values of being Positive, Playful, Present, and a Difference Maker.
• Display enthusiasm and cheerfulness and collaborate with the team.
• Follow up on customer requests for specific items and suggest additional products.
• Explain product benefits, features, prices, quality, and value to support sales.
