About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Sales Associate, you provide a welcoming store environment and a strong customer experience, helping customers find shoes that suit their needs and fit well. You stay informed about trends, share product knowledge, contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture, and support individual and team success.

You help keep store operations running smoothly by completing daily tasks such as pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory work. You maintain a clean, organized, and easily shoppable store, follow company policies and procedures, and support sales goals through attentive customer engagement and clear communication with the store team. You may also assist with teammate training and development as needed. Other responsibilities may be assigned to meet business needs, and overtime may be required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily store tasks, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and merchandise easy to shop in accordance with company standards.
• Provide attentive customer engagement and help customers find styles and brands that meet their needs.
• Stay informed about trends and share relevant knowledge with customers.
• Review store performance and contribute to sales goals.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and listen actively to ensure understanding.
• Follow company policies and procedures and seek feedback to improve skills and professional development.
• Promote an inclusive and respectful work environment and support teammates.
• Assist with training and development of teammates when needed.
• Work overtime when required to meet business needs.
