About The Position

GNC Sales Associates provide a welcoming, customer-focused shopping experience by discovering customers’ needs and goals and recommending relevant products. They represent GNC’s “Live Well” philosophy and brand, support sales and productivity goals, and help maintain store operations and appearance. This is a part-time hourly position. Associates may work varied hours and days, including nights or mornings for store opening or closing, weekends, and major U.S. holidays when the store is open.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
• Frequent reaching, bending, and twisting below the waist and above the shoulders; repetitive hand-to-finger motions; and reaching with hands and arms.
• Frequently lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds; push or pull up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders, reach, and bend.
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 50 to 85 degrees, particularly in stockroom areas.
• Use a computer for up to 60% of the workday.
• Ability to work varied hours and days to meet store needs, including nights or mornings, weekends, and major U.S. holidays when the store is open.
• Customer service and product recommendation skills, with the ability to understand customer needs and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers and create a welcoming store environment.
• Interact with customers to identify their needs and recommend suitable products using product knowledge.
• Work toward achieving and exceeding store and individual sales and productivity goals.
• Fulfill online orders accurately and promptly according to company guidelines.
• Build product knowledge, including product features, advantages, and benefits, and stay informed about nutritional, wellness, and fitness news.
• Restock products, maintain visual merchandising, and perform cleaning duties when not assisting customers.
• Support store management with opening, closing, and day-to-day store operations, including cash handling, inventory counts, deposits, and maintaining store appearance.
• Promote GNC’s “Live Well” message and represent the GNC brand.
