About The Position
A Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales efforts and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are the most important aspects of the position. The associate helps customers find appropriate merchandise while upholding DTLR standards and building relationships; supports shipments, restocking, pricing, and visual standards; and helps maintain an organized, orderly sales environment. The role also follows company policies and may perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
- Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
- Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service, maintain accurate inventory control, transport merchandise, and maintain the store.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
- Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
- Use fashion and trend knowledge to meet customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise, upholding DTLR standards, and building customer relationships.
- Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
- Provide each customer with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression and maintain an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
- Comply with company policies.
- Participate in service training and product programs.
- Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
- Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
- Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
- Help keep the store organized as directed by store management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
