About The Position

As a Sales Associate, you will be the first face of the Carter’s brand for growing families. You will welcome customers, introduce them to products, and help them find items for the many milestones in their parenting journey. You will work in a welcoming and inclusive environment that values team members’ skills and talents. Carter’s provides training and development programs to help employees build skills and grow in their current roles and beyond. The role involves assisting customers in a busy retail setting, completing register transactions, replenishing merchandise, and helping maintain a safe and clean store. Availability may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Duties may be changed or reassigned at management’s discretion, and additional duties may be required.

Requirements

• Ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and climb up and down a ladder.
• Availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with product styles, features, and benefits.
• Proactively resolve customer issues and balance the needs of multiple customers in a busy retail environment.
• Assist with omnichannel needs to help ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Execute and expedite point-of-sale/register transactions.
• Complete floor replenishment and shipment tasks as needed.
• Explain current promotional events and the brand loyalty program, including credit, to customers.
• Minimize store loss by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, clean store.
