About The Position

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing quality customer service and driving product sales. This role requires knowledge of the store’s product areas and departments, adherence to the policies, procedures, and standards in the visual manual, and active promotion of sales and promotions. As an ambassador for the organization and its brand, the Sales Associate creates a distinctive customer experience that helps acquire and retain long-term customers. The role is centered on outstanding customer service and promoting merchandise in the store.

Requirements

0–2 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks accurately.
Team player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide extraordinary customer service according to the customer service manual, including assisting customers as they enter the store and helping multiple customers during peak periods.
Promote and sell the organization’s services and merchandise.
Set goals to improve selling skills and track overall sales.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards described in the operations, personnel, visual, and customer service manuals, as well as company memos.
Assist with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
Use merchandise presentation and product knowledge to promote and sell goods.
Achieve or exceed sales targets and goals.
Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
Attend all store staff meetings and tech clinics.
Protect company assets and financial information by ensuring internal control procedures are accurate and effective and reporting potential fraud risks to management or appropriate officials.
