About The Position

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing quality customer service and driving product sales. This role requires knowledge of the store’s products and departments, adherence to company policies and visual standards, and promotion of sales and special offers. As an ambassador for the organization and brand, the Sales Associate creates a distinctive customer experience that helps acquire and retain customers. The position supports daily store operations, promotes merchandise and services, and works to achieve or exceed sales goals. There are no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

0–2 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks accurately.
Team player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide extraordinary customer service, including assisting customers as they enter the store and helping multiple customers during peak periods.
Promote and sell the organization’s services and merchandise.
Set goals to improve selling skills and track overall sales.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards in the operations, personnel, visual, and customer service manuals, as well as company memos.
Assist with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
Present merchandise to promote and sell products, following guidance in the product knowledge manual.
Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and goals.
Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
Attend store staff meetings and technology clinics.
Protect company assets and financial information by following internal control procedures and reporting potential fraud risks to management or appropriate officials.
