With over 50 retail stores across the country, Urban Barn is a national retail chain offering high-quality furniture and home décor. Accompany and guide customers to find inspiring furniture and home décor during their visit to our store. As a Sales Associate, you will represent Urban Barn by offering friendly service and product knowledge to help our customers create a space they love to call home. In collaborating with the store team and managers, you will provide our customers with the best shopping experience possible. Our stores are open 7 days a week, so we’re looking for candidates who can work a variety of shifts (i.e. weekdays, weeknights and weekends). Requirements

• At least 2 years of Retail Sales experience
• A passion for interior décor and merchandising
• Reliable and outgoing personality
• Ease of using technology such as a Point-of-Sale system and iPad
• Flexible schedule to work a minimum of 3-4 days (15-30 hours) per week – including at least 1 weekend and 1 weekday daytime shift
• The ability to lift and move loads up to 50 lbs / 23 kg

Responsibilities

• Guide customers in their décor choices, suggesting the best products for their needs
• Provide a warm greeting to every customer
• Establish connections with customers to build customer loyalty
• Carry out transactions (purchases, exchanges, and returns)
• Maintain the visual standards and cleanliness of the store
