About The Position

This role is responsible for assisting customers, maintaining store departments, and supporting daily operations. Key duties include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and providing excellent customer service. The associate will also handle special orders, monitor for shoplifting, and respond to radio requests. Flexibility in availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience.
• Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Skilled at providing prompt, friendly, and attentive customer service.
• Strong organizational skills with a passion for details.
• Willing to learn all areas of the store and help train others.
• A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.
• Availability must be flexible, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Hardware experience preferred.
• Knowledge and experience of various departments is strongly desired.
• Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise.
• Maintain assigned department: Keep clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Execute daily operational goals and priorities.
• Remove promotional bin tags from displays/price tags as required.
• Restock merchandise displays, watch end caps and side wings.
• Handle special orders for all non-stock items.
• Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager.
• Watch for shoplifters and act in line with Elder's policy.
• Respond to radio requests.
• Other duties as assigned.
