About The Position

The Sales Associate is a part-time hourly retail position at GNC. The role focuses on understanding customers’ needs and goals, creating a tailored shopping experience, and advising customers on products that support their wellness goals. Associates welcome customers, recommend and sell products, and represent GNC’s “Live Well” message. When not assisting customers, they restock products, maintain visual merchandising and store appearance, fulfill online orders, and complete cleaning duties. Associates also support store management with opening, closing, cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
• Able to frequently reach, bend, and twist, including below the waist and above the shoulders, and perform repetitive hand and finger motions.
• Able to frequently lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds, and push or pull up to 20 pounds.
• Able to climb ladders, reach, and bend.
• Able to work in temperatures ranging from 50 to 85 degrees, particularly in stock room areas.
• Able to use a computer for up to 60% of the workday.
• Able to work varied hours and days, including mornings or nights for store opening or closing, weekends, and major U.S. holidays when the store is open.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers and create an inviting store environment.
• Interact with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products using product knowledge.
• Work toward and exceed personal and store sales and productivity goals.
• Fulfill online orders accurately and on time in accordance with company guidelines.
• Learn product features, advantages, and benefits, and stay informed about nutritional, wellness, and fitness news.
• Restock products, maintain visual merchandising and store appearance, and perform cleaning duties.
• Support store management with opening, closing, and daily store operations, including cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits.
• Promote GNC’s “Live Well” message to customers.
