About The Position

The Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role adheres to operational, merchandise, loss prevention, and safety standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The position supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; accurately processes customer purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and processes and merchandises products according to company procedures. The associate also participates in store recovery, cleanliness, shrink reduction, and safety programs, and performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
• Give and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
