About The Position

The Sales Associate performs selling and customer-service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and courteously, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining product knowledge, replenishing and restocking merchandise, keeping the work area clean and stocked, and following company policies and procedures. Associates help customers make purchasing decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements described, including standing or walking constantly during the shift and moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly, with occasional lifting or moving of objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.

• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs, make product recommendations, and promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
