About The Position

Talbots is hiring a Sales Associate to provide customer service and support store operations. The role involves helping customers find products and create outfits, building customer relationships, supporting store business and management, and completing sales and service activities. Associates work collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environment and may handle several customers or projects at once. This position is temporary and part-time, with availability of 15 to 20 hours per week and scheduling flexibility for business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes products and builds brand relationships.
• Assist the management team in building store business.
• Use service enhancers, including Concierge, to build strong relationships.
• Serve multiple customers and handle projects simultaneously.
• Keep informed about fashion trends and new arrivals, including product fit, color, and fashion.
• Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits and recommend items suited to customers' needs.
• Participate in learning opportunities and accept direction, coaching, and feedback to improve performance.
• Work toward sales and service metrics, including clientelling/outreach, appointment setting, and Talbots Classic Awards.
• Complete assigned projects and operational tasks, including filling orders, replenishment, and recovery.
