Part-Time Sales Associate - Famous Footwear
About The Position
As a Famous Footwear Sales Associate, you provide a welcoming store environment and an engaging customer experience. You share knowledge of shoe and fashion trends, recommend styles, and help customers find the right fit while building customer loyalty. You work as part of a team and contribute to individual and store-wide success. You support daily retail operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory, and help keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop. You uphold company standards, policies, and procedures, communicate with teammates, and contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment. You may assist with training and development and seek feedback to support your professional growth. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed to meet business needs; overtime may be required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
- Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager as needed.
- Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
- Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
- Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

- Review store performance and contribute to sales goals.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and listen actively to teammates.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and standards with integrity.
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and respectful work environment.
- Assist teammates with training and development when needed.
- Seek and respond to feedback to improve skills and support professional development.
