About The Position

The Sales Associate is responsible for helping unload incoming trucks, putting away merchandise, and maintaining their assigned department to keep it clean, organized, and fully stocked. They are expected to execute daily operational goals, move with "Ace Pace," and manage promotional displays. This role also involves handling special orders, providing excellent customer service by never saying no without manager approval, and deterring shoplifting according to company policy. Responding to radio requests and performing other assigned duties are also part of the role.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience.
Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members.
Skilled at providing prompt, friendly and attentive customer service.
Strong organizational skills with a passion for details.
Willing to learn all areas of the store and help train others.
A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.
Availability must be flexible, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Hardware experience preferred.
Knowledge and experience of various departments is strongly desired.
Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise.
Maintain assigned department: Keep clean, organized and fully stocked.
Execute daily operational, day-to-day goals/priorities.
Remove promotional bin tags from displays/price tags as required.
Restock merchandise displays as needed, watch end caps and side wings.
Handle special orders for all non-stock items.
Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager.
Watch for shoplifters and act in line with Elder’s policy to discourage shoplifting.
Respond to radio requests.
Other duties as assigned.
