About The Position
As a Shoe Sales Associate, you represent Von Maur and help shape the store’s reputation through customer service. You build customer relationships, develop product and brand knowledge, and help customers find shoes that meet their needs. The role includes assisting with sizing and fitting, processing point-of-sale transactions, and maintaining the shoe department and stock room. The position offers a base wage of $16.00–$19.00 per hour, commission, and overtime eligibility; individual wages are determined based on qualifications, and commission may vary by department.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers sincerely, be friendly, and thank every customer.
- Develop customer relationships to grow sales.
- Achieve individual sales and account goals.
- Share product knowledge and information about store services to support the customer experience.
- Process point-of-sale transactions and enter account information.
- Assist customers with shoe sizing, fitting, and trying on shoes.
- Maintain a visually appealing and clean department and shoe stock room.
- Be available to work day, evening, and weekend shifts.
