About The Position

The Sales Associate provides quality customer service and drives product sales. The role requires knowledge of the products in each store area or department, adherence to the policies, procedures, and standards in the visual manual, and full promotion of sales and promotions. The Sales Associate serves as an ambassador for the organization and brand, creating a distinctive customer experience that helps acquire and retain customers. The position emphasizes outstanding customer service and merchandise promotion. This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position in the Operations department at the Shoppes At Hickory Hollow in Antioch, Tennessee. The Sales Associate reports to the Store Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

0–2 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and accurately.
Team player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide extraordinary customer service, including greeting and assisting customers and helping multiple customers during peak periods.
Promote and sell the organization's services and merchandise.
Set goals to improve selling skills and track overall sales.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards in the operations, personnel, visual, and customer service manuals, as well as company memos.
Assist with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
Present merchandise to promote and sell goods, using guidance in the product knowledge manual.
Meet or exceed sales targets and goals.
Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
Attend staff meetings and store tech clinics.
Protect company assets and financial information by following internal control procedures and reporting potential fraud risks to management or appropriate officials.
